    (IANS)

The inmates of a women's prison in eastern China have presented a fashion show to promote a lifestyle free of pollution, a media report said Monday.

More than 120 inmates walked the ramp in Zhengzhou city, the capital of Henan province, showcasing diverse outfits made of plastic bags and other recyclable waste.

Most of the outfits were designed by the inmates themselves, China News Service reported.

Gu Zhiqing, deputy chief of the prison, said the fashion show will give the talented inmates a sense of direction and help them build their self-confidence.
