    Tuscaloosa Times
    Friday 3rd September, 2010
    (IANS)

A police officer was killed and 30 people were injured Friday in a suicide car bomb attack at a police station in Tajikistan, officials said.

Earlier reports said 25 people were injured when a GAZ-24 car exploded after crashing into the main building in the yard of a police station in the Central Asian country's second largest city of Khujand.

The blast, which occurred at about 8.10 a.m., completely destroyed the right section of the building housing the local organised crime department, interior ministry said.

There was no information on the driver involved in the suicide car bombing.
