Two people being questioned about the attempted murder of a man in Londonderry have been released on police bail.
Two others are still in custody in connection with the incident in the Waterside area on 16 July.
Paul McCauley, 29, was assaulted and critically injured as he burned rubbish after a barbecue at Chapel Road.
Two of his friends were also attacked by a group of up to eight people. One had his jaw fractured.
Police said the attack, which happened in the early hours of the morning, was thought to be sectarian.
However, Mr McCauley's father said he did not think this was the case.
There were local people and friends who were English, Romanian and Polish, both Catholic and Protestant, at the barbecue, he said.
The event was a going-away party for a man who was travelling to Azerbaijan to teach.
